Deanna Miles, Owner of Beyond Birch Co.

I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska . My family lived in various areas of the state during my youth. Growing up in rural Alaska; fresh produce was not easily obtained. Basic needs were met through hunting, fishing and beloved sourdough. My culinary infatuation developed through travel, making my home in Europe and later in the great northwest. I returned to Alaska in 2007 with a fascination and desire for unique cuisine and beautiful presentation which led me to find home in my own kitchen. Baking, pairing foods, and presenting the finished product to friends and loved ones is my greatest joy. Giving the gift of decadence and beauty through food medium is my ultimate passion.
